Examples of Perfect Amethyst and Diamond rings

The complementarity of both of these stones has been recognized by the jewelry designer and manufacturers very early. This is the reason why there are so many brilliantly composed amethyst and diamond rings on the market. Prior to going into details, let us briefly examine the symbolism of both amethyst and diamond stones, since it might help in choosing the right gemstones for the right purpose. Diamond, on the other hand, is a symbol of ageless love and ultimate perfection.

When we consider amethyst-diamond rings, very often the central position will be occupied by one large faceted amethyst gemstone, whereas many of the low carat (weight) diamonds will be surrounding the central amethyst. The central amethyst stone is always chosen so that it possesses perfect transparency and color. Its color is usually a darker shade of purple, which is generally more valuable and preferred over the lighter nuances. However, some jewelry designers might choose the light colored amethyst stones if they find that the ring is more appealing that way. The color of amethyst can vary considerably, so make sure you know exactly what is the color of the amethyst in the ring you have decided to buy.

While in the purple amethyst - diamond ring there is a perfect visual harmony between amethyst on the one side and the surrounding smaller diamonds on the other, some people do not like matching these two types of stones since they are both powerful in their metaphysical strength and energy. I have personally never had any problems with using them both at the same time, but I can imagine that some might feel overwhelmed if they are not used to their combined energies.

Bellow I will show you two perfect rings. The first one is an elegant brand new amethyst and genuine diamonds white gold ring. The band made of 10 carat white gold, and its total weight is 2.8 g which is approximately 0.09 oz. The amethyst crystal is 0.33 g, which is 1.64 k weight and its shape is oval. There are also 30 small diamonds with total weight of 0.13 k. Their color H-I, which means that they are white to slightly bepainted white and their clarity is I2-I3.



The second design ring is Kabanal Stylish amethyst and diamond ring. Here we have a high quality design rind whose band is made from 18k yellow gold. Its total weight is 7.7 grams, which is around 0.25 oz. There is one oval shaped 0.8 carat amethyst stone, and 48 smaller diamonds whose total weight is 0.45 carat. The color of the diamonds is also H-I like in the former example. Their clarity is much higher though, which puts them in the VS2-SI1 eye clean category.
